Next-to-last stop on the train to the Big Ten is Notre Dame

Congratulations to embattled Rutgers football coach Kyle Flood!  In the face of many people calling for his job, Flood was able to rally his embattled Scarlet Knights after losing five of their prior six games and lead them to a 31-6 home win over USF in Saturday night's regular season finale, thus qualifying them for their eighth bowl game in nine years.  Not only does Rutgers get to play Notre Dame in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on December 28th at Yankee Stadium...but, as I talked about a couple of weeks ago, it gives the Scarlet Knights another three weeks of practice, something sorely needed for the young team as it gets ready to move into the Big Ten next season.
