A big day on two fronts for the #24 Rutgers football team

Not only have the 24th-ranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights jumped back on the winning track but they now have sole possession of first-place in the Big East...not a bad Saturday afternoon in Piscataway and on the out-of-town scoreboard.  RU was coming off its first loss of the season, that 35-23 Homecoming debacle with Kent State but rebounded with a 21-point fourth quarter against Army to win its final non-conference game of the season, 28-7, at home against Army.  Then the 8-1 Knights got some great news from the Carrier Dome where Syracuse blew out previously-undefeated Louisville 45-26.  That dropped the Cardinals to 4-1 in the Big East, a half-game behind Rutgers.  The Knights will take their 4-0 league record into Cincinnati next Saturday when they take on the Bearcats in a game you can hear on the new talk radio, 1450 WCTC and, the Voice of Rutgers Football, beginning at 10:30 with the pre-game show "Rutgers Gameday."  Remember: if the Scarlet run the table in their final three games---at Cincy, at Pittsburgh and home to Louisvile---they will win their first-ever Big East championship and itheir first-ever BCS bid.  Fasten your seat belts for what could be the most excting and historic month in the 143-year history of Rutgers football!
