The undefeated and 22nd-ranked Rutgers football team plays its Big East home opener Saturday afternoon against Connecticut in a game you can hear on the new talk radio, 1450 WCTC and WCTCAM.com, the Voice of the Scarlet Knights. RU is 4-0 overall and 1-0 in league; UConn, which is playing its first league game, is 3-2. The Knights are seven-point favorites. They'll be playing before a sell-out crowd of 52,000 AND they'll be playing with the memory of last year's regular season finale, when they blew a chance at gaining a piece of the Big East title with a horrible performance at UConn. Add in the fact that Rutgers has more talent then the Huskies and I'm picking the Scarlet Knights to cover the spread and beat Connecticut 21-10. Kickoff is at noon on the new talk radio, 1450 WCTC and WCTCAM.com, the Voice of Central Jersey.
