Remembering Gandolfini
Posted 7/6/2013 11:10:00 AM

I know Jim Gandolfini has been gone for a few weeks now, but it has taken some time for it to sink in for me. Here was a guy, a Rutgers grad, who became a television icon. But there was really much more to Jim than that. Those who knew him called him one of the most giving and caring people they had ever known. Most of what we heard about him were the negatives; about how he almost quit "The Sopranos" over money, and how he was "difficult" on the set. Nonsense. Here was a guy from Jersey that worked hard, got a lucky break or 2, and made a nice career for himself. We can only dream about being able to leave $70 million to our familes when we die. RIP Jim Gandolfini. Jersey will always be proud.
