"Live with Kelly and Michael" just not cutting it for me.

After a myriad of co-hosts and months of speculation as to exactly who would replace Regis Philbin on "Live with Regis and Kelly", I must admit I was initially rather please with the selection of former NY Giant and current FOX NFL Sunday co-host Michael Strahan. A larger-than-life personality. World-champion athlete. Well-known outisde of the sports world. If anything, most of America would have to at least take a look at what was going on. But after watching an entire episode this morning as I waited for my car to be serviced, (which BTW will probably be the subject of a future blog), I watched an entire episode of "Live" from start to finish. Now before anybody jumped down my throat and says my opinion involves the fact that she is white and he is black, you can forget it. As anyone who knows me at all will tell you, all people are identical in my eyes, so you can park that nonsense. My problem with the choice, and if you've seen one episode of "The Price Is Right" since Drew Carey took over, is that we're getting Michael Strahan as the guy THE SHOW needs him to be; no the Michael Strahan that WE ALL KNOW and admire. For instance, this version of Michael is perky, polite, and fains interest in county music and B-movies just to appease the guests, the producers, the co-host, and of course, the sponsors who shell out millions of dollars annually. If they book a ballet dancer, he would say he "loves ballet, and has been a fan for years". Baloney! He has NO INTEREST is half of the guests on the show! To me it's sad, but this is just a case of a guy changing his persona for the big payday, and nothing more. Do you agree with me? Watch and episode of "Live", and trust me, you will.
