There was only a slight drop this past week in Central Jersey gas prices, as we head into the Labor Day travel weekend. The averages in WCTC's weekly gas survey fell by just two-cents across the board. Here are the Central Jersey averages, followed by the AAA national average for the week ending August 29th:
Regular - Central Jersey: $3.12, down 2-cents; National: $3.43, down 1-cent.
Mid-grade - Central Jersey: $3.43, down 2-cents; National: $3.63, unchanged.
Premium - Central Jersey: $3.58, down 2-cents; National: $3.80, down 1-cents.
Local averages are calculated using the prices at ten gas stations in Edison, Franklin, New Brunswick, North Brunswick and South Brunswick. The national average is calculated by using the AAA's fuel gauge report, which can be found here.
