The slide in Central Jersey gas prices continues

The price of regular unleaded in Central Jersey is down almost 30-cents in the last three weeks, and at its lowest point since our December 2, 2010 survey.  Here are the Central Jersey averages, followed by the AAA national average for the week ending October 24th:

     Regular - Central Jersey: $2.76, down 9-cents; National:  $3.08, down 10-cents.
     Mid-grade - Central Jersey:  $3.03, down 15-cents; National:  $3.29, down 10-cents.
     Premium - Central Jersey:  $3.20, down 13-cents; National:  $3.47, down 9-cents.

Local averages are calculated using the prices at ten gas stations in Edison, Franklin, New Brunswick, North Brunswick and South Brunswick.  The national average is calculated by using the AAA's fuel gauge report, which can be found here.
